| Abstract: | Upon UV irradiation of silver(I) ion Solutions containing alcohol as reduction agents, metal nanoparticles are grown on a DNA polymer chain. This metallization is independent of the DNA double-helicity and is controlled by the chemical structure of alcohol as well as by the wavelength of the light source. |
